Sothys was created in 1946 by Dr Hotz, a biomedical researcher who provided concentrated biological active substances in sterile glass ampoules to dermatologists as well as to beauty therapists in Paris to target various skin conditions, bridging medical professional and professional aesthetics application.
In 1966 Mr Bernard Mas, coming from a pharmaceutical family company in Monaco, purchased the brand Sothys from Dr Hotz on his retirement. He devoted his time to developing the SOTHYS Group in the French market, rapidly moving Sothys into the international arena. Surrounded by men and women with a pioneering spirit, the SOTHYS Group very quickly became well-known for its technical innovations. Supported by these founding values, the SOTHYS Group teams now put all their energy and talent into developing new product ranges, investing in new markets and devising innovative projects..
